Behind every Stanley/Stella organic cotton garment is a transparent, carefully managed supply chain. From soil to final product, we’re present at every step—ensuring traceability, integrity, and care.

It begins with the seed
Organic cotton starts small—with non-GMO seeds planted in healthy soil. We never use synthetic pesticides, GMOs, or chemical fertilizers. Instead, we support:
- Crop rotation
- Composting and natural fertilizers
- Biodiversity-friendly farming
In Tanzania, our Direct-to-Farm partnership with Remei supports over 2,000 smallholder farmers with training, guaranteed purchase agreements, and 15% higher remuneration. In India and Turkey, we collaborate with long-standing, GOTS-certified farming partners to ensure organic integrity from day one.

From flower to harvest
As cotton flowers bloom, they form soft white bolls ready for harvest. In India, most are hand-picked to preserve fiber quality. In Turkey, advanced machinery ensures responsible and efficient harvesting.
Wherever it’s grown, our cotton is always free from GMOs and harmful chemicals—protecting the land and respect the people who cultivate it.
Ginning and transparency
At the ginning stage, fibers are separated from seeds. Each batch is processed in certified facilities in Tanzania, India, and Turkey. This step is key to ensuring quality and organic integrity before spinning begins.

Turning fiber into fabric
After ginning, the cotton is spun into yarn and then knitted or woven into fabric. To maintain high standards, we require:
- GOTS certification at every stage (spinning, weaving, knitting)
- Strict environmental and social compliance
- Consistent quality and full traceability across the supply chain
Making dyeing safer
Dyeing is one of the most polluting steps in textile production. That’s why we work exclusively with facilities that use:
- Non-toxic dyes
- Wastewater treatment systems (ETPs - Effluent Treatment Plants)
- OEKO-TEX® certified processes to ensure fabric safety
The result? Vibrant colors, soft handfeel, and a process that respects both people and the planet.

Made with respect
Garment production takes place in certified partner factories that follow strict social and environmental standards. As a Fair Wear Foundation member, we champion safe working conditions, fair treatment, and accountability across all manufacturing partners.
Independent audits verify that every worker is treated with respect—and that ethics and quality go hand in hand.
We don’t just claim responsibility. We trace it, verify it, and keep improving it.

The true value of a garment
The journey from seed to garment is a promise fulfilled. Each piece represents the work of skilled hands, conscious decisions, and care at every stage.
Wearing it is a quiet reminder: change in our industry begins with care—and continues with every choice we make.
