Less talk,
more action

We are driven by a simple belief: sustainability is not about being perfect; it’s about moving forward with purpose.

Our 2024 Highlights

2024 marked an important chapter in our sustainability journey. It was a year where long-term dedication started to take shape as concrete actions; from unveiling our first decarbonisation strategy to deepening our work with suppliers and strengthening community projects in Bangladesh.

Every audit, every training, every new well or medical consultation reflects the power of collective effort: when teams, partners, and communities come together to create lasting impact. We know change doesn’t happen overnight. But with every step, we move closer to an apparel industry that respects people, considers the planet, and delivers products that embody both quality and responsibility.

Ambition in action: Decarbonisation target and action plan

After two years of intensive work to measure and understand our supply chain carbon footprint, we unveiled our decarbonisation strategy in April 2024. This milestone unites the Stanley/Stella ecosystem around a shared goal: reduce our relative carbon footprint by 30% by 2030.

Cross-functional involvement: Decarbonisation working groups and supplier commitments

Following this public release, we created 8 cross-functional working groups led by Stanley/Stella employees, each focused on practical actions to achieve our 2030 target.

In 2024, one group conducted onsite energy assessments at four key supplier factories with third-party engineers. Together with suppliers, we set individual decarbonisation targets for each facility by 2030.

By 2026, we aim for all fabric and garment actors we work with to have completed similar assessments and action plans.

Responsibility for people: Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) Leader

For the fifth year in a row, we proudly renewed our FWF Leader status, recognising our leadership in securing safe, fair working conditions across supplier factories.

In 2024, this partnership included 3 audits (2 in Bangladesh, 1 in China), 6 factory trainings (5 onboarding, 1 advanced on violence and harassment), and the strengthening of our grievance mechanism across all factories.

Health & water access: Scaling up our community support

Our Mobile Hospital project supported more than 50,000 people in 39 villages during 2024, delivering free consultations, medication, prenatal care, screenings, and minor surgeries.

To address water-related health issues identified by the Mobile Hospital, we launched a complementary project, funding 16 deep tube wells with storage, taps, and filtration. As a result, 23 villages and 10,000+ people now have access to safe drinking water.

Direct-to-Farm sourcing: Partnership with Remei Tanzania

Our partnership with Remei Tanzania now connects us directly to around 2,000 smallholder farms in the Simiyu region. Farmers receive fair payments and continuous training in organic practices, strengthening long-term livelihoods.

In 2024, we expanded the scope of this collaboration, increasing the share of cotton directly sourced from Tanzanian farmers.
