Care is a daily commitment for us — one we bring to life through consistent action. In 2023, we began supporting a mobile healthcare project in Bangladesh that delivers vital medical services to rural communities near our partner factories.
In partnership with Drip by Drip and Agroho, the programme provides essential medical care, health education, and consistent follow-up. It reflects our commitment to meaningful, people-focused sustainability.
Long-term well-being, village by village
In some of the rural areas surrounding our partner factories, healthcare access is still limited. This is where the mobile healthcare unit makes a difference. It brings a full-service medical team directly to the villages every one to two months, free of charge:
- On-site consultations with doctors and nurses
- Preventive care and health education
- Distribution of essential medicine
- Pre-natal check-ups
- Minor procedures and diagnostic tests

Each visit is designed to provide both immediate care and long-term support, strengthening community well-being over time.
In the span of one year, from 2023 to 2024:
- 43,643 people impacted
- 135 days in the field
- 35 villages visited
- 5,104 pre-natal check-ups
- 40,000+ prescriptions written
A hospital on wheels
The mobile unit is more than just a vehicle. It’s a fully equipped, discreet space that includes:
- Private consultation areas
- A pharmacy stocked with commonly needed medicine
- Equipment for minor surgeries and medical exams
The programme covers all logistical costs, including fuel, maintenance, and staffing. This allows the medical team to focus entirely on providing care.
One such moment of care came when Bably Akter, a pregnant garment worker, went into unexpected labor while alone at home. A neighbour quickly contacted the Mobile Hospital, and within minutes, the medical team arrived, transported her safely to the nearest health centre, and stayed by her side throughout. She later gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Her story is a powerful reminder of how vital and life-saving this initiative can be.
Improving clean drinking water access
In 2024, the project expanded to address one of the root causes of illness in these communities: unsafe water.
Together with Drip by Drip and Agroho, we funded the construction of water wells in 16 villages already served by the mobile hospital. This clean drinking water initiative improved water accessibility for over 10,000 people, helping to reduce waterborne disease and support long-term health.

Listening to local voices
Each village involved in the programme selects a community spokesperson. This person collects feedback from residents and shares it directly with the project team.
In one village, the chief and his daughter took on this role, helping ensure the care provided remains relevant, responsive, and respectful of local needs.
Why we’re involved
As a brand committed to ethical fashion and a more sustainable fashion supply chain, we believe sustainability must include the well-being of the people behind our products.

This initiative brings that belief to life through direct action and collaboration. It also reflects our approach to CSR, where financial support is paired with a long-term commitment to creating positive impact.
We’ll continue supporting the project throughout 2025 and beyond, working closely with our partners on the ground to understand where we can help most.
